I've been meaning to do this post for awhile now. Well today I got my apartment cleaned up enough to give a virtual tour.
That's the outside view of the first complex. There are 3 apartments in this building. Mine is all the way over to the right.
The front door leads to the arctic entryway, basically an unfinished hallway that leads to the other apartments. My apartment is all the way to the right. You then have to enter another door, which leads to the shared foyer/laundry room of mine and another teacher's apartment.
The photo above shows the view immediately entering my apartment. You can see the living room, bedroom, bathroom, and my table that I don't really eat at.
I hope to decorate it a bit more as time goes on. On the shelves all the way to to left I keep my "treasures" such as the float I found, and various rocks I've picked up on the beach.

Here's the view of my very non-exciting bedroom. I love that blanket though; it's handmade and I bought it at a yard sale for $8.
For some reason the walls have black stains that keep showing through the paint. They're not as noticeable in person as they appear here.

Here's my reasonably non-messy kitchen. It's not very big but I'm used to that from my apartment in Lock Haven. There's lots of room for storage which is nice. The white appliance on the counter is a distiller for water. I distill all of my drinking and cooking water because the tap water here has trace amounts of arsenic. You can still drink it, but I choose not to. It's also a bit brown (pretty brown!) straight out of the tap, so distilling it also makes it more visually appealing.
The spare bedroom is what I use as my computer/ ferret room. Isn't their purple cage cute? It's smaller than the one they had back home, but it gets the job done.
All of their extra bedding is in the long dresser, and I keep their food, treats, and litter on top.
Well, there it is! Not very exciting but I call it home!
